The Bureaux are the technical bodies responsible for fact-finding, reflection, making recommendations, communicating, and organizing activities.
Each Bureau is managed by its head.
- Bureau I is responsible for cultural, recreational and sporting activities for the members and their families, such as Aquaboulevard, painting classes, massages, exhibitions, concerts and other events.
- Bureau II is responsible for social relations, the Medical Benefits Fund (MBF), pensions, Headquarters Committee, occupational health, safety and ergonomics, the Children’s Club and supplementary health insurance coverage to which members of the staff and their families can subscribe, such as Humanis and GMC
- Bureau III is responsible for legal issues, information, training and external relations: it provides advice and guidance in areas such as the Advisory Board on Individual Personnel Matters (PAB) and joint committees; it participates in wage surveys, post classification issues, litigation and pre-litigation; and it defends the staff by providing advice, guidance and any necessary assistance in relations with the hierarchy, the Director-General, the Appeals Board and the International Labour Organization Administrative Tribunal (ILOAT).
