If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and find a moment of calm, focus and ritual, Ms. Tokuda’s Japanese tea ceremony classes are an unforgettable experience. With more than 17 years of practice in this ancient art, Ms. Tokuda invites you to discover the Way of Tea in the heart of the 16th arrondissement of Paris, near Trocadéro.
Classes run Monday through Thursday, 1:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., providing flexibility to fit your schedule. You can choose to attend once a week, three times a month, and specific dates and times can be discussed with the teacher to suit your convenience.
Whether you are new to the art of the tea ceremony or more experienced, these classes are open to everyone. Ms. Tokuda encourages everyone’s participation, as the essence of the tea ceremony lies in sharing a precious moment with others over a bowl of tea.
Classes take place in a traditional tea room with tatami mats, creating an authentic atmosphere for your experience. In addition, to enrich your experience, traditional cakes, varying with the seasons, are included.
Note that wearing white socks is required to participate in classes. You can book your first trial lesson for just 20 euros.
